targa912 Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 I burned a dvd using Builder and all seem to go well. When I tried to play it on a tv I get message saying "Playing prohibited by area limitations". I tried the dvd on my computer and it played fine. Have burned several dvd's with this burner and no problems. It's a Sony 830U. It's not the dvd player. All my other dvd's play fine. Any thoughts? Bob W. Quote
nobeefstu Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 "Playback prohibited by area limitations"Have you authored the DVD in a standard which cannot be handled by your DVD player capabilities. ?Messages such as this can occur if you create a NTSC-DVD disc to play only on a PAL-DVD player system.
