Apply effects to multiple images

I've searched and I've searched and I just can't find this info.

If I have some effects I like on one slide, how can apply the same effects to multiple other or all other slides?

I REALLY think a basic slideshow tutorial is in order just to get us newbies going. I'm really suprised that I can't find this, unless I have just missed it, I would think that would be a basic thing.
