Is anyone familiar with the Twenty Puzzle effect created by David Fitzpatrick for the Photodex ProShow platform. Well David has given me permission to transfer the effect to the PicturesToExe platform. If there is any interest I would be happy to make the Template and Tutorial available to other PTE users. Below is a link to MediaFire.

Mike,

I can't download your file : I have "Processing download request" processed forever. :(

I don't know if it's the same but Lin made a puzzle effect last year :

http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4507

He even made a tutorial : http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4510

And JPD made a 565 pieces animation !!! http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4740

But I think a new puzzle animation could be done with new features of V5 (in particular the speed features), with dynamic lights and shadows, 3D effect, deformations, etc...

Hello Dom

It seems that MediaFire servers are down.

The Twenty Puzzle that David Fitzpatrick produced is a slide puzzle, it it not a jigsaw puzzle like the one produced by Lin, a little similar to JPD's but you start with 19 pieces and a space, then each piece moves around the table until they are all in place, then the 20th piece flies in and you have your completed image. You must have had one when you were a little boy in France.

Hi Guys,

It's a cool effect. It's like the little plastic slider puzzles popular back in the late 50's and early 60's. Probably it's before some of our younger member's times - LOL.

I'll post a link to David's executable (zipped) on my site. Link here:

Nice. But in my opinion, the puzzle takes too much time.

I think you could start it at its current speed at the beginning and accelarate it more and more until the 2/3 and slow it down until the image is complete.

I think you could change the final piece too. Why not add a shadow effect like it was coming from above ?

Just suggestions. :)
