Barry Beckham
Can anyone throw any light on the following error message when a slide show is downloaded from my web site and played"Exception EApp;ication in module Demo1.exe at 00062DOA. Access violation at address oo462DOA in module C:\Documents & Settings\Temp\wz463e\Demo1.exe Read of address 00000020"The person is using PTE5 and I am at a loss what to suggest. I am not sure if this is an issue just from my own web site or others too. I have the feeling that the issue is on the PC being used and probably has little to do with the download.I have checked the download to ensure no corruptions have crept in and it plays fine for me.Has anyone else experienced this and is there a solution. Many thanks
Ken Cox
BARRYwith it being an exe it should not matter which version they are usingmaybe if they mt'd their temp int file of everything but cookies and tried the download again it may be alrightand possibly relocate the download to another place on their systemken
Conflow
Hi Barry,Looks to me as if they don't know how to download your File or where to Save it....I presume its a Zip File ?Error As:..in module C:\Documents & Settings\Temp\wz463e\Demo1.exe Read of address xxx...It seems to be going into a IE Temp Folder, usually these will only accept a Web Link,a HTML File,a PostScript or a (self-extractor) CAB File ~they won't accept an Exe forobvious system security reasons.....Tell them to save it to the Desktop.....Brian.Conflow.
