jlgjones78 Posted January 6, 2008 Report Posted January 6, 2008 I am very new to PTE and I trying to add a song to my slideshow, however, my song is an MPEG file and the program doesn't recognize it. How can I change the song file to an mp3 file or something else the program will accept? (I pulled my song off of iTunes if that helps.) Thanks a bunch for any help you can offer. -Jen Quote

You load the sound file into the editor, and save it out again under the protocol you want, mp3. Goldwave needs Lamewin to handle mp3 files, and I think Audacity does also. These programs are available to download from the 'net.Colin Quote
jfa Posted January 7, 2008 Report Posted January 7, 2008 Welcome to the world of PTE A-Vs and the user forum Jen Jones, you will find lots of friendly help and advice here. You can get Audacity from here:http://audacity.sourceforge.net/I would also suggest you download Lin and Jeff's excellent "PTE USER GUIDE" PDF document, which you will find under the Tutorial section of the forum. It will answer all/most of your questions and save you hours.http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=7202 Quote
