plunkettphoto Posted July 3, 2003 Report Posted July 3, 2003 I have tried for 2 days to download v4.0 from the wnsoft web site. The process starts and then just hangs with no bytes being transfered. I have tried with IE 6.0 and Netscape 7.0 (WinXP Pro) and have tried the mirror sites. I am starting to get really frustrated, can anyone offer any advice...bill plunkettps. I am registered user of V3.8 Quote
Lee C Posted July 3, 2003 Report Posted July 3, 2003 I am having the same problem. The download just hangs there. Hope this is resolved quickly as I have tried multiple times. Am reinstalling with my new OS. Lee C I'm a registered user, also. Quote
plunkettphoto Posted July 3, 2003 Author Report Posted July 3, 2003 I just heard from wnsoft support, seems they are having server trouble and asked if I would try download again in 24 hours.bp Quote
Igor Posted July 4, 2003 Report Posted July 4, 2003 We're apologize for this trouble! It's a temporary problem of web hoster of WnSoft.com. The slow access may takes 2-3 days. Please use mirrors to download newest v4.00:http://www.simtel.net/pub/dl/63011.html Quote
think(box) Posted July 4, 2003 Report Posted July 4, 2003 Igor, the Simtel mirror sites unfortunately have PTE v4.00. I did a compare between downloaded ZIP contents from Simtel minutes ago and found the March 11, 2003 v4.00 release. What I downloaded last March was the March 14 version, v4.01. I tried two of Simtel's sites, California and Georgia and found the same results - v4.00. Presumably all Simtel sites are the same. Quote
think(box) Posted July 4, 2003 Report Posted July 4, 2003 Just read the v4.10 release note. If you are releasing v4.10 in just 3 days who cares about v4.00 vs. v4.01 on Simtel. Thanks Igor! Quote
Igor Posted July 4, 2003 Report Posted July 4, 2003 v4.01 in comparison with v4.00 contains only small fix of one bug. In v4.00 you can't start preview from some slide for not synchronized presentation. But you're right - we have to upload v4.01 to the Simtel.netp.s. by the way, our forum is located on separate web server and with own domain name.
