stowphoto
I just downloaded some music from itunes and they were downloaded as MP4's . I cannot attach them to a slide show as music files- any ideas how to make this work, or do I have to convert the files as MP3's . If that is the case, how do I do that.ThanksTom D
Barry Beckham
Try a search for a conversion program on the net, if you don't already have one you can try
CorVdK
Hello Tom,Welcome to the forum. To use your M4P music from iTunes in PTE, you must convert them to MP3 files.Go back in iTunes, put a (rewritable) CD in your CD burner, click the "Burn Disk" button (on screen right under).Make your choise in the playlist in iTunes (max. 700 MB).Follow the instructions given by the program. If asked, you must authorize your choise. After burning, rip the music from the CD with ex. Windows Media Player (Options - Rip Music - Classification - MP3).Hope this helps.Greetings,Cor

Lin Evans
Hi Tom,If you plan on doing lots of this it's very easy to use a converter. The one I use handles almost every conceivable format - literally anything which can be played on Windows Media Player, Quicktime or Real Music. It's $19.95 and worth every cent.http://www.all-music-converter.com/Best regards,LinThanks Cor-I tried what your suggested and it works fine- a little bit of work though !! CorVdK
Hello Tom,Glad it worked for you. But yes the "free" convertion is rather "long-winded", I use it only occasionally.Lin point you to a good converter at a very reasonable price. Are there any plans to allow mp4 files to be used in future revisions of the software.I don't think so for the near future, but that is the decision of Igor and his team. You can find here what the plans are for the next version: plans for PTE version 5.5 by IgorGreetings,Cor

CorVdK
Hello Henri,Did you try the conversion from the protected M4P files to MP3 in iTunes 7? And yes, how did you do it?Because I get the same error message as Tom. And also the same error message by conversion to WAV, AIFF and AAC.Greetings,Cor
