cannot open file- Pictures to Exe

After using pictures to exe for the last three Months. I now get a the message Cannot open file C:\DOCUME~1\ROBWHI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\apv-cfg1.cfg when I press preview. The preview button is then grayed out. all other programmes on my computer work o.k Can anyone please help

Hi Rob,

Two things spring to mind. The .cfg is not a PTE Project file type but you say the problem comes when you try to preview is this file relating to your images or music and if so have you moved it to another location. The message suggests that the file needed is not where you expect it to be. This can happen when you transfare files to other drives, i.e for archiving or to CD. Ckeck if this is the case and good luck

This could be a file that PTE creates (who knows) and it sounds possibly buggy. Did this start as of trying Preview in new v4.10 PTE? Igor should track this topic if so.

I have downloaded v4.10 but still get massage Cannot open file. I think my main problem is being new to computers, I dont know what I am doing. I appreciated the help given particularly from Alan, but I am not sure how to check what he suggests. The problem started when I was using v4.oo so I dont think problem is with v4.10. any suggestions ?
