Adding Slides in v 5.5

I've hit a problem

In trying to add a slide at a specific point on the time line PTE v 5.5 puts the new slide at the end of my show not where I have set the blue arrow on the time line. I have tried the new transition button which adds a transition but not the new slide I wish to add. Have also tried to add from the full file view screen but this does not seem to work either. Any ideas or am I missing something fundamental.

Ok for the benefit of others I've discovered that you cannot do it on the fly in the time line. Just go back to the slide view and drag the image in then, return to the time line.

The "drag and drop" technique works just the same in the Timeline view as it does in the Slide List view.
