jeanhum
It seems that project PTE file was corrupted.Everything was OK , worked perfect on PC but not with videobuilder!I came back to an ancient backup and reconstructed the slideshow.Video output is OK now.Error code 2909 stays mysterious!Jean

jeanhum
Can you send you project file on fly@wnsoft.comThanks.Unfortunately, I did not keep a defective .PTE file. After so many tries, it was such a mess in my computer that I deleted every corrupted file.Tks for your attentionJean
wideangle
Does anyone know what this error code is all about?I have recently put together half a dozen short shows which I wanted to put on a DVD using Videobuilder. I'm using XP and PTE5.52.I get exactly the situation described above when I try to burn it.I've tried a process of elimination and the problem comes down to one show. If I don't use that show the burn is OK.The odd thing for me is that all the shows used the same skeleton structure but with different images, so I don't see why the problem is occurring.I might add that all the shows, including the suspect one, run perfectly correctly as individual PTE shows, as do their respective exe files. If anyone can tell me what error code 2909 refers to then perhaps I can narrow it down.Regards,Wideangle
nobeefstu
Wideangle. If anyone can tell me what error code 2909 refers to then perhaps I can narrow it down.I cant tell you what error 2909 as it relates to in Pte ... but you may want to try this to get a better idea where the fault may occur. How to get a DeBug Report-Open Video Builder and select your files. (Do not click Next button quite yet)-Use keyboard shift+ctl+alt+q-This brings up the Debug Window. Check the Main Options and Additional Options tabs for what action you want to perform.-Now proceed as normal.
wideangle
NobeefstuThanks for that.I had a look at it but all that I could glean from it was that it told me that error 2909 occurred after the Vob generation, which I knew anyway! After that I threw the towel in and decided to regenerate the suspect slideshow. The dvd with the full collection of slideshows burned OK after that, so I was able to move on.I'm still no wiser what error 2909 was, but am still curious to know..........Many thanks, wideangle. Did you try their solution to repair your registry?Colin

Did you try their solution to repair your registry?ColinHi Colin.I looked on the page that you gave the link to, tried to download the trial version of the product from there, but it gave 'Address not found'.I thought I would do a search to get it from elsewhere, but discovered that there seems to be quite a bit of adverse criticism around for that particular product in terms of spyware. In any case, the 2909 error problem went away after I rebuilt the PTE file.Regards, wideangle
