lens enchantment
Working in PTE 5. Restored system after crash. We now have ghostly triangles on images. Does this indicate a corruption in the programme? If so how do I re-install PTE5 ?

lens enchantment
Hello kbg,can you provide some more information: about your PC, operating system, why did your system crash, what happened afterwards, show us a corrupted image (screen shot).Best regards,Xaver H.MunichHi xahu34,Thanks for your reply. The computer was built by a local firm and has run without problems for three years. Operating system XP Pro. Recently we had a new disc drive fitted. Since then the computer has sometimes crashed when we have tried to burn a disc. On one of these occasions PTE 5 was open - we lost the contents of the timeline and had to restore back to an earlier date. This restored the timeline but now we have the ghostly triangles. They are three right angle triangles along the top right hand side of the image. Sorry don't know how to send you an actual image as they only appear in PTE and the message says I am not permitted to upload this type of file. Hope this is of some use.kbg
xahu34
Hi kbg,For me it is difficult to come to a decision. - Did you try to uninstall PTE and then reinstall it again (Do you have control over your registration key)? - Did you try to update the drivers of your graphics card?Best regards,XaverMunich
fh1805
Hi kbg,To capture a copy of the screen image showing your ghostly triangles, press the "Prt Scr" button when they appear on the screen. Provided you did not tick "Dont allow <Print Screen> to copy pictures" in Project Options...Advanced tab, then this will place the screen contents into the clipboard. You can then copy the clipboard into a new image file in Photoshop and save that as a jpeg to attach to your post to this thread on the forum.regards,Peter
Conflow
Hi KBG,In case you have one of those PC where the 'Clipboard' is hidden (for security reasons) and you don't haveaccess to a Photo-Editor, the small utility called "DeskScan" will take a PhotoShot of any part of your Screen.Save this as a GIF File in My Documents and 'attach' the Image with your next Post to the Forum. This is easyto do. When you select the 'Reply Button' ~ underneath the Reply Window you will find a 'Browse Button' whichfinds your selected Image and then the 'Upload Button' which attaches it to your next Post.Best of luck with it ~ see 'Attachment' below for Web Source of 'DeskScan'Brian.Conflow.P.S...Exactly what Drive was replaced ?? Igor
No doubt that Windows works incorrectly after system restore on your PC.It's necessary to re-install drivers for your video card. If it doesn't help please also re-install DirectX from Microsoft's website.
