How to play avi on an Apple?

Hello,

By your help I can create avi-files of my slideshows.

I wanted to do this because a friend has an Apple.

And Aplle does not run exe-files.

Now he has my avi-file.

But when he try to run this, quicktime is started and

tells him to download addons.

Can anyone tell me what he has to download?

But when he try to update the quicktime, he is reditected to a thirdparty website.

There we don't know what choice to make.

post the url of third party website

generally when one is using QT and you check for updates it will automatically tell you and download what it needed

so if he is not doing it that way fraid i cant tell you anymore

He made it that way.

But his apple is about 3 years old and he has never updated the operating system.

So he thinks the problem is there is less new for his operating system and quicktime.

Not on the normal way, but he buyed a new apple.
