Changes in fonts

I've been experiencing a small problem that someone may be able to shed some light on. When I create a slide that uses a text object from the "Objects and Animation" window, and select a particular font that I like, all is well until it's played on other people's computers. The font for the text that I selected has been replaced with a less attractive font. I assumed that the font I selected would be imbedded in the "exe" output, but apparently not so.

Has anyone else expereinced this? Am I doing something wrong? Oh yes, I running PTE 5.11.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Regards,

Dave

Hi Dave,

That's quite normal because fonts are not embedded but are called from the computer the executable is played on. Obviously then if these fonts are not resident Windows will substitute. In a future version of PTE plans are to change this but the present solution is to simply click on the "Rasterize Text to PNG Image" choice in the Properties Tab of the Objects and Animations screen. This creates text then as a graphic and it will be identical on any system. Should you need to alter the text, simply uncheck, make your changes and recheck.

Best regards,

Lin

Thanks Lin for the prompt response. I wondered what that "Rasterize Text to PNG" did. Now I know.

Have a nice weekend.
