time limited usage for video?

Hello,

I'm a new user and I couldn't find this topic covered in the manual:

For the time limited usage:

1. Does it work on video or just exe file? I'm assuming just exe

2. If limiting to certain number of plays, does it work when it's on a read/execute only drive/CD?

Hi Oscar,

You're correct, it's limited to executable code and because disabling the program requires a change in the code by either reading the computer clock or altering a counting algorithm in the program it will only work on writable media so won't work on a read only drive and on rewritable media only when being played in a drive which permits writing to the media.
