I recently had a computer disaster. Lost all of my pictures. I bought a retrieval program and was able to save many of them. I have a p2e executable that has some pictures that I was unable to save. These are from a once in a life time vacation. Is there anyway to decompile the exe and get my pictures back?

I know that I can use a screen capture program and I have one. BUT I have the navigation button in the slide show and would like to NOT have it in the retrieved picture.

mlt,

PTE shouldnt Print the NAVAGATION Buttons if you capture.

If you use PRINT PICTURE ... all you capture is your IMAGE only.

If you PRINT SLIDE .... you capture the IMAGE and the OBJECTS within the slide also.

Note : This is if your using PTEs print functions.

Thanks nobeefstu.

Unfortunately, I did not use the print button in my navagation features.

Any more thoughts. I really would like to save these pictures.

Maybe the developers have a decompile or retrieve function backdoor....

Did you try sending mail to Igor on this? (Igor@WnSoft.com)

Extracting images from .exe is a sensitive topic with regards to image theft, as I'm sure you know. It can't hurt to ask. Maybe he has a time-disabled utility.

that has been discussed before on the forum -- i think if you search for compiler or decompiler - it was suggested one time for the same situation as yours but due to the legality of taking an exe apart there was not much movement on the subject

also do a google for decompiler -- big $$$$ B)
