Do a search on e.g. autorun and you'll most probably get lots of answers. This topic has been extensively covered in this forum. There are even free utilities to help you ... Good luck!

Mike,

It's as simple as adding one additional file to your CD in addition to your slideshow.exe files. This file is: AUTORUN.INF

Here is a sample of what the Autorun.inf may contain:

[autorun]

open=MySlideShow.exe

This file can be created using Notepad or any other editor that can save a text type file.

Good luck and welcome aboard!

Fred and Mike,

Good advice, Fred.

Please allow me to add one more point - make sure the "autorun.inf" file is in the root of the cd (not in one of the folders, if there are any in use).

If you want to put the slide show in a folder, make sure the folder is included in the pathname of the file in the "autorun.inf" file.

e.g. "open=MyFolder\MySlideShow.exe".

Al,

Excellent point. I try to always include all the .exe files and of course the Autorun.inf in the root to simply my life when creating CD's.

I'm glad you added this to help minimize problems for others in the future.

Good catch!
