dpearcePNG Posted April 23, 2009 Report Posted April 23, 2009 Just recently (like since 5.6), I've been having problems with having no sound. I create the DVD using my usual settings, pop the disc into a DVD player and I'll either get only 1-2 seconds of sound or nothing at all. If I take the disc to a computer, it will play. This DVD player plays all of my older presentations (made with 5.5), just not the newer ones (made with 5.6).I have created the audio files in both Audacity and using the LAME converter with the same results. I also tried OGG with no change.Any one have any ideas?Dave Quote
fh1805 Posted April 23, 2009 Report Posted April 23, 2009 Dave,Is your problem perhaps associated with missing or mis-matched "codecs"? Does PTE v5.6 use the same default codecs that earlier versions used?regards,Peter Quote

xahu34 Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 I guess that PTE uses its own libraries of encoders for the creation of DVD-Videos. Looking at PTE's VideoBuilder folder, it seems to me that the versions 5.5 and 5.6 use the same libraries. Regards,Xaver Quote

Guest Yachtsman1 Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 I've burned DVD's using 5.6 with none of the problems mentioned, I was going to suggest a possibility that the DVD was not big enough to accept all the shows sound files, until I read that it plays OK on the PC.Yachtsman1 Quote
